the people in the kitchen.

Alina Cazacu

Founder

The journey into the digital world began more than 15 years ago. Although I started with a law degree, curiosity pushed me into consulting and then fully into the digital universe. Since then, I’ve coordinated the launch of more than 50 online platforms — from e-commerce to publishing, video, sports portals, mobile apps, or AVOD. I’ve worked side by side with wonderful teams and I am happy to call many of them friends.

Along the way, I built, scaled, and shaped businesses from scratch, led high-performing teams, and contributed to some of the most impactful digital projects in Romania. I co-founded Digital Kitchen — a full-service e-commerce agency specialized in end-to-end implementation — and metrics.today, a startup grounded in the idea that meaningful insights emerge when data is interpreted correctly — enabling smarter decisions and long-term growth.

I like to think I can convince people that anything is possible, even when they insist it’s not. And I very much enjoy doing the things they say can’t be done. 🙂

People also “despair” a little when they tell me “I have an idea”, especially Ramona — because she knows that we’re about to turn that idea into a plan, and eventually into a launch. And since ideas tend to pop into my head in clusters, not one by one, this year we opened our own event agency — Haz Events — and even launched our own e-commerce website, coming very soon.

Professionally, I’ve worked in senior management roles at Deutsche Telekom and PRO TV, advised European startups, supported founders through the European Commission’s EIC Accelerator Program, and won several e-commerce awards. I believe strongly in Project Management as a Service, in culture and mindset as growth engines, and in building result-oriented teams that actually enjoy working together.

If I were a Microsoft program, I’d probably be PowerPoint — even though I spend all day in Outlook.

I drink my coffee black (usually more than one… actually more than five). I love ice cream with the same intensity. I read, I build things, I obsess over architecture and DIY projects, and I travel. And I walk. A lot. To anywhere.

Everything, everywhere all at once

Inspired by

People, travels, and seeing things from different angles. Loves creating things — ideas, concepts, solutions – often all at once.

Fun fact

Although I travel a lot (I once had 70 flights in a single year and hundreds overall), I’m actually not comfortable when flying. Ironically, long-haul flights are the easiest — the 2.5–3 hour ones are the real challenge.
Funny thing, my lifelong nickname: haihuiprinlume — loosely translated as “wandering around the world.”

Ramona Ungureanu

Founder

I’ve been working in the online world for almost 20 years, moving through research, telco, and media companies, and launching a wide range of digital products: from research tools to content platforms, business directories, video products, and e-commerce businesses. Even though my background is in economics and marketing, I’ve always been drawn to the technical and practical side of things–> actually bringing a product to life.

I’ve lived both the corporate rhythm and the startup hustle, and somewhere along the way I realized that what I truly love is building products in complex environments, whether the challenges come from the product itself or the ecosystem around it. There’s a saying that a good project starts with a good plan, but I’ve learned that success really lies in how you navigate the unexpected: adapting, collaborating, and moving confidently through different environments, people, and scenarios.

At Digital Kitchen, we’ve managed to bring to life a concept that’s still new in Romania: Project Management as a Service. It fills a real need for companies trying to launch new initiatives while keeping their day-to-day business afloat and by this doing exactly what we love most: rolling up our sleeves and handling the actual implementation work.

I have a particular soft spot for anything that starts with “it’s complicated,” “it’s a nightmare,” or “this will be difficult.” Say that, and I’ll probably show up with curiosity and determination.

If I were a Microsoft program, I’d definitely be Excel: preferably a sleek, multi-tab, macro-packed version. 🤓

I love traveling and, despite what a few loud voices might suggest, I actually enjoy socialising (in my own way) and finding my way through all kinds of friendships and groups. I naturally look for the best in people. I truly believe most people are good at heart… which is probably why I’m often nominated as the “devil’s advocate.”

Roxana Jilăveanu

The Marketeer

More than 13 years in communication and I can’t imagine doing something else.

They say I talk a lot, I say I always have something good to say. A bit workaholic, a bit stubborn, creative a lot and definitely a maniac when it comes to content marketing. I have started my journey as a journalist and after testing different start-ups and corporate businesses, I’ve concluded that a mix between the corporate and consultant worlds is a fit for me.

I survive on good coffee (rarely without a splash of milk) and gallons of water, if you want to impress me you can always do this with a glass of extra dry white wine. And some plane tickets to Asia would be nice as well.

In Digital Kitchen, I am the main support for the communication, marketing related tasks.

If I’d be a Microsoft program, I would probably be Outlook. I am freaking out if I don’t know exactly what’s happening in my inbox and I cannot leave unread emails without a clear plan around them. I often send emails to myself with different reminders and my best solutions and ideas are coming when I’m taking a shower or I’m sleeping, thus having my dear iPhone around me all the time to note down everything.

Alexandra Jercăianu

The Problem Solver

My professional journey has been shaped by more than 10 years in the eCommerce world and 6 years in IT distribution — two areas that taught me how to navigate through challenges, build structure in the middle of chaos, and always find a solution, no matter the context. Structure isn’t just a preference — it’s the way my mind works. I enjoy building clear, logical frameworks and processes that help projects move smoothly for both myself and the teams I collaborate with.

I’m patient — with people, with projects, and with the tiny details that often make the biggest difference. I listen carefully, ask questions, and truly believe that every successful project begins with a well-understood story.

Even though I work in a digital environment, all my ideas still start on paper. I have a not-so-small collection of notebooks and pens that brings me more joy than any project management tool ever could.

I love the smell of morning coffee, good music (mostly metal), concerts that leave you speechless, books that keep you hooked, and spending time outdoors whenever possible.

I like being the person you can rely on when things get complicated – and the one who makes everything feel simple in the end.

Despite working entirely in digital, I refuse to give up my notebook and pen collection – and yes, I keep a dedicated notebook for each major project.

Denisa Pană

Our Content Crafter

I like to think of myself as bringing a “double shot” of insight to Digital Kitchen, combining my Business Administration background with my Master’s in Customer Relationship Management. This mix helps me approach marketing from both a strategic and a customer-first perspective. Even though I’m at the beginning of my professional journey, I’ve been immersed in the world of branding, communication, and content creation since my first year of university exploring it with the same curiosity and energy that brought me here in the first place.

What I love most about my role isn’t just the work it’s the people I get to do it with. The Digital Kitchen girls bring a kind of creative chaos that leads to great projects. Coming to the office feels less like “going to work” and more like meeting up with friends with whom you get to do serious and fun stuff. It’s a supportive and inspiring environment where ideas flow easily, teamwork feels natural, and laughter is pretty much part of the job description.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find me behind a camera, trying out new coffee spots (my go-to is a lcold brew tonic), at the gym, or wandering through a new city. I like to keep myself busy, doing what i like. Staying still just isn’t my style I rarely stay still. I like to think I move through life with kindness, curiosity, and an open mind, always ready for a challenge. And if I had to choose a quote to live by, it would be: “Choose the life that excites you, then build it one day at a time.”

I’ve always been drawn to communication, even though my background is mostly in science.

Organizing words, actions and ideas comes naturally to me and transitioning into marketing and communications felt like the right path from the start. It’s a true pleasure bringing order, whether it’s managing projects, organizing events or solving problems that seem impossible at first glance.

I’m focused on finding solutions, creating lists and plans and making sure things are done well.

People say I’m constructively critical and that’s true, I hold high standards because I believe in delivering quality work, every time.

Beyond work, I recharge through travel, long walks in the park or by the lake with my family and cozy movie nights that make everything feel just right.

Our Translation Expert

Talking about myself is not something I’m very comfortable with. I’ve always preferred to let others describe me because it feels more natural. But if I had to summarize myself, I’d say I’m someone always looking for balance, learning, and for small moments that feel meaningful. I know that behind every chapter there has been a constant search: balance between work and personal life, growth without losing myself, and the quiet certainty that each step – even the uncertain ones – brought me exactly where I needed to be.

Studying languages opened more doors than I ever expected. It gave me the chance to live abroad and explore jobs in fields that didn’t always match my original background. And even though change is not exactly my comfort zone, life has pushed me into it more times than I can count: new places, new roles, new teams… I don’t always like change, but I’ve learned that it has shaped me in ways staying still never could.

I’ve worked in several companies, trying to keep a healthy balance between work and personal life — not always easy. Joining DK is a new challenge for me: learning new things, growing in a new environment, and doing my best in a place that already feels warm and friendly.

Outside work and motherhood ☺️, traveling is something I truly enjoy, even if I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like. Still, every trip, no matter how small, feels like a privilege. I love taking photos, of anything, even the tiniest detail. I’m also drawn to the moon, the horoscope, and this growing intuition that, in the end, we are all energy.

And with time, I’ve learned something simple but powerful: when things get difficult, there is always a way through. Everything happens for a reason – and if it doesn’t happen, there’s a reason too.

Simona Popescu

Marketing & Growth Strategist

I’ve been working in the online industry for over a decade, starting from customer support and growing into e-commerce and marketing management. Those early years in support gave me something invaluable – a real understanding of customer pain points and needs that completely changed how I approach marketing.

With a background in Applied Modern Languages and an MBA, I bring together business know-how with strong communication skills. I’ve built e-commerce operations from the ground up, led marketing teams and created strategies that turn visitors into customers and customers into loyal fans. I work with both data and creativity — numbers show you what’s happening, context help you understand why.

Beyond work, I’m also a mom to two amazing kids who keep me grounded and teach me daily that the real test of project management happens at home, during bedtime negotiations and snack debates.

I recharge in nature, value time with the people I care about and believe that coffee is essential – along with a good glass of prosecco, from time to time.

Diana

The Product Marketing Girl

I jumped head first into my digital journey in 2006, when I applied for a job at an online women magazine that I was reading on a daily basis. I was starting my day at 6 AM sending newsletters (at that time spam was none of my concerns), writing horoscopes and counting missing pixels on banners. Since then I went from content creation, to marketing, to digital account management spiced up with roadshows and gamification, to a 7 years love affair with telco.

For 3 years already, I switched from corporate to project based collabs and extended my portfolio with handling the digital communication and web & mobile assets development for cultural events and conferences, food delivery and fashion ecommerce.

I’m pretty good at writing specs and business requirements, mixed with a tone of patience and resilience when it comes to explaining the business and UX reasons behind every requirement.

I love being the master of my working hours and early mornings.

If I were to be a Microsoft program I would probably be PowerPoint, adding a bit of fun per slide.
